TLC Maynooth Team…
Our residents at the TLC Maynooth are looked after by Miracline Samuel (Director of Nursing) and her team.
Miracline reports directly to our CEO/ General Manager, Noel Mulvihill, who has considerable experience of managing elder services on a national level. Elaine Keane, Director of Clinical Services, is responsible for clinical governance as well as the standardisation and development of best practice.
Miracline is supported by Assistant Directors of Nursing, Sajini Somanathan and Grainne O’Reilly, Head Receptionist, Sonyia Phelan, together with Clinical Nurse Managers and Staff Nurses. Our team of Clinical Support Specialists, comprised of catering staff, accommodation staff, and care staff all work together to create a place that we hope you will consider a home from home.

The countryside surrounding the TLC Centre is an oasis of calm and relaxation developed on 6 acres of landscaped gardens. The famous racehorse Arkle was once stabled here, as was a luxury hotel, before becoming a luxury nursing home.

Oak House specialises in the care of persons with Dementia. Specifically designed with the needs of with residents who have Dementia in mind, it is spacious, bright and very importantly, secure. In addition it has its own large garden with a walkway for both residents and their families.

Located in a picturesque setting on the Kildare Dublin Border, the TLC Centre is a purpose built, luxury nursing home designed to meet the special needs of the older person in pleasant surroundings, whilst facilitating freedom and independence for the more active, on either a permanent or temporary basis.

On arrival, the foyer is filled with the vibrancy of a hotel, with its opulent chandeliers and state-of-the-art hair and beauty salon. Cosy little corners and lots of comfortable seating in the ample reception area allows space and privacy while soft music resonates from the grand piano.
Highly trained medical and nursing staff, speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, carefully selected care assistants, hydrotherapy, chiropody, aromatherapy, reflexology and geriatric assessment are available to all residents and day-care visitors.

Shoebox Appeal
We went to buy the various items needed for our shoe boxes. All the ladies took this shopping very serious, putting a lot of thought into what would benefit the children most. By the end of the trip, everyone had their bags full of presents.

We deal with complaints in accordance with our complaints processes, which are on display in the centre and available to you in written form on request from any member of staff.
If you have complained to us and you’re not satisfied with our decision on your complaint it is open to you to contact the Office of the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman provides an impartial, independent and free service. by law, the Ombudsman can examine complaints about any of our administrative actions or procedures as well as delays or inaction in our dealings with you. The Ombudsman’s remit relates to complaints about actions which occur on or after 24 August 2015. The Ombudsman cannot examine complaints about actions which occurred before that date with the exception of complaints from residents eligible to complain under “Your Service Your Say” (Residents whose place is provided under a contract with the HSE).
