We packed up our bags early Monday morning and set of on the road. The scenery on the drive was breath taking and we know what Jonny Cashing was singing about when he wrote his song, Forty Shades of Green! We stopped off in the Hudson Bay hotel for refreshments and before we knew it we were out walking the promenade in Salthill, the sea air definitely gave us an appetite and we enjoyed a delicious meal back in our hotel that evening. On Tuesday we set off bright and early to the Cliffs of Moher, enjoying more scenery as we drove through Co. Clare. We even got to drive through the infamous town of Lisdoonvarna; some of the residents wanted the drivers to leave them there and collect them on the way home! When we arrived at the cliffs we were pleasantly surprised with the great weather. We walked up to admire the Cliffs and everyone commented on how beautiful Ireland is. After our afternoon in Moher we went for lunch in the charming town of Doolin, then back to Galway for a night of entertainment and music. Our residents in Cara Care would like to thank Michael Fetherston and all the staff that helped make the trip so enjoyable for everyone. It was a great group of people and we can’t wait to see you all again soon!
