Today was such a nice day that we decided to go to the Dublin Castle Art Gallery in the coach house to see the exhibit on the famine. The gallery was composed of paintings from Irish and Irish American painters from 1830 to-date and their vision of what it was like during The Great Hunger 1845-52. A lot of the paintings were of poor tenants being evicted, showing the death and destruction the famine had on the population of Ireland.  Afterwards we visited the Chester Beatty Library where we had tea and cakes.
