A great  ” boys day” was had during our visit to Collins Barracks to see the  exciting  exhibition where we explored the ideas of our residents, movements and personalities of early 20th century Ireland, the dramatic events of Easter Week, the impact it had on the city and its citizens, and the Irish nation as a whole. These themes explored, in both Irish and international contexts, through the stories of civilians, rebels, and the leaders of the Rising.  The residents enjoyed playing the guns and we took pictures with the statues, it was a great reminiscence of them, everyone was talking all about the war before when we were on our way home.
