The excitement appeared to be contagious as we got on the TLC Bus to go to the Axis Centre in Ballymun. The evening began with a cup of tea followed by a glass of wine with some cheese and crackers. The music started up at 7pm. It had just about begun when Straffan’s very own Kitty Duffy took to the microphone and sang “The humour is off me now”. She had everyone in the party mood, dancing and singing along. Pottery and Art teachers, Chris and Jordanna then got up and told everyone all about the project and how involved everyone had been. Then it was time to view the art pieces in the exhibition. Everyone was thrilled showing off their work to their families and other centres, with everybody listening to where the artist’s inspiration came from. We later returned downstairs and danced the night away. A huge thank you to both Jordana and Chris for all their dedication and hard work they have a lot to be proud of!
